The Meridian Creed

Now this is the true Christian faith:

That we worship one God, neither blending their persons nor dividing their essence. For the person of the Father is a distinct person, the person of the Son is another, and that of the Holy Spirit still another. But the divinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is one, their glory equal, their majesty coeternal. What quality the Father has, the Son has, and the Holy Spirit has. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit is uncreated, immeasurable, and is eternal, and are not three beings but one eternal being.

That Jesus of Nazareth came in the flesh, was born of the virgin Mary, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, suffered death and was buried, rose on the third day and ascended and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

That there is one body of Christ, one Church, and one Bride. We will no longer separate in our thoughts, words, or actions what God has joined together. For “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and no city or house divided against itself will stand.” That we, the body of Christ, are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and God alone builds His temple. God's temple is not built by human hands.

That we have one Leader, and Jesus of Nazareth is the only Leader we need. That we will honor the commands of Jesus over men's traditions. May God's will be done as we surrender all control to Him.

That Jesus commanded His disciples to make disciples and to teach them to obey His commands. We commit to following this command by making disciples who, in turn, will make more disciples. We will remember the poor.

That true Christian faith is a deep and intimate relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, embracing the journey of adoption as beloved children of God. That God alone will write His law on our hearts and place them in our minds. That we will be transformed from the inside out by the work of the Holy Spirit.

That Jesus of Nazareth will come with the clouds and every eye will see him.
